Dental lab management software

Cases stay with the lab that made them.

Bench is the day-to-day portal for crown and bridge labs. File the shade and the patient, scan the pan from station to station, and keep every other lab out of the drawer.

The pan moves. The record follows.

Each station has a barcode. Scan the case, then the bench. Status, location, and the tech's task update together — no extra click on the way to shipping.

Lab ID

LAB-7K2M9Q

Same name, different bench

Smile Lab in Texas and Smile Lab in Dubai can both exist. The Lab ID is the tenant. Nothing crosses it.

Doctor ID

DOC-4H8N2C

One dentist, many labs

Dr. Kim at two clinics is still one Doctor ID. Each lab links that ID. Neither lab sees the other's patients.

Case UID

CX-8F2K91QA

The pan ticket

Every case is tied to one lab and one doctor. Patient names can repeat. The case ID never does.

A day on the bench

  1. 01Sign in and open a lab. Bench stamps a Lab ID that never changes, even if you rename the shop.
  2. 02Add a doctor — or link one who already has a Doctor ID from another lab on this portal.
  3. 03File a case: patient, shade, material, teeth, due date. Designers download the STL and the RX from the same case.
  4. 04QC writes the invoice. Shipping marks it out and pays the tasks. The doctor watches status, not your stockroom.

What a doctor sees

Only their own pans.

A doctor who uses two labs signs in once and sees cases grouped by lab. They can ask for an update and pay an invoice. Lab notes, employees, and material counts stay on the bench.

Different lab. Similar name. Separate cases.

One material. Three prices. Your reasons.

The lab owner sets the book. Doctors do not pick their own rate.

Account tiers

The same zirconia crown can be $75 for a long-time doctor, $85 for a new account, and $120 for VIP. Assign the tier on the doctor. The invoice uses it.

Remakes

Add the reason and the percent. A doctor-fault remake can be full price. A lab-fault remake can be free. The discount is locked on that case.

Tech pay

Each task has a price. When the case leaves a tech, the task is done. When it ships, those tasks are paid. Techs see their own pay, not another lab's.

Questions labs ask first

What is Bench?

Bench is dental lab management software. A lab files cases, moves the pan across stations, holds design files, invoices the doctor, and pays techs for finished tasks. Other labs on the same portal never see that work.

Can two labs share a doctor without sharing cases?

Yes. A dentist keeps one Doctor ID. Each lab links that ID on its own account. The doctor signs in once and sees only the cases that lab filed for them.

How does a case move through the lab?

Scan the pan, then scan the station. Receive, design, mill, finish, QC, and shipping update the case. When QC passes, the invoice is ready. When it ships, task pay posts for the techs who worked it.

Can the same crown have different prices?

Yes. The lab sets three prices on one material — for a long-time account, a new account, and a VIP account — and assigns each doctor a tier. Remake reasons carry their own discount, set by the lab.

How do doctors see cases and pay?

After the lab creates the login, the doctor sees their cases, can ask for an update, and pays an invoice by card. They do not see employees, stock, or another lab's pans.
